Why do advisers do what they do
The Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA) has been fortunate to have utilised the services of TPM Events over the last 4 years of our flagship HIRE national conference and exhibition. With a proud history of HIRE events (2018 marked our 50th show), our association and our members expect a high quality, engaging, informative and entertaining event.
In a typical year, our HIRE event combines a comprehensive conference program (featuring high profile keynote speakers, focused workshops and various social/networking events) with a significant (multi hall) trade exhibition. With bump in, a 2.5-day program and bump out all occurring withing a 5-day period, effective planning and execution are key to our success.
In TPM we have found a true partner who works with the needs of our association from initial concept development, through the complex planning cycle, the intense execution phase, and the all-important post event review. Janette and her team adeptly manage complex supplier, sponsor and exhibitor relationships and deliver a compelling event for our delegates with minimum of fuss and in line with our financial requirements.
With TPM, direct owner involvement means that we not only enjoy industry leading expertise combined with reliable and efficient service; we also have a trusted advisor that in times of uncertainty is able to adapt rapidly and deliver effectively in highly fluid circumstances. It has been a pleasure working with TPM Events on the Kennards Hire Conference.
Our conference is run every two years over four-days and provides 300+ managers from across Australia and New Zealand with learning opportunities, plenary and breakout sessions, an equipment supplier exhibition, product demonstrations, competitions, networking and multiple social events.
In addition to the internal delegates, over 140 attendees from more than 50 equipment suppliers participate in an outdoor exhibition, as well as a range of speaking opportunities.
This was the second time we have worked with TPM Events, first having engaged them in 2017 to help manage the Supplier Expo component of our conference. In 2019, Kennards Hire contracted TPM Events to manage registration, program development, exhibition, partner involvement and exhibition sales, speaker contracting and industry coordination, audio visual and production, social event coordination and theming, hotel and transfer management, website design and information build, onsite design and marketing, as well as all incidental conference management requirements.
We look forward to working with Janette and her team in the future.

It has been a pleasure working with Janette and the TPM Team for nearly three years on the Association of Advisers (AFA) signature events covering annual conferences and roadshows for our community of financial advice professionals.
TPM has worked with the AFA for close to 10 years and established a collaborative partnership which has seen the delivery of many successful events, the most recent being our 2020 united national roadshow in February which travelled to seven states and our annual conference which this October was delivered in an industry leading virtual format where TPM worked with AFA in collaboration with Because.
As General Manager Marketing for the AFA, I lead the AFA’s event planning, delivery and promotion and liaise with Janette for the majority of the year (!), working together on all aspects of event management including ideation, planning, execution, coordinating program development, registration and logistics, speaker management including sourcing and onboarding and the development and management of the events websites.
Janette’s expertise and readiness to input new and creative ideas together with a focus on quality and user experience adds significant value for us - providing peace of mind that the event execution will be to a very high standard.
Janette and her team are responsive, collaborative, and consistently go above and beyond to deliver and exceed expectations so that we as an association can deliver to and exceed the expectations of our event delegates.
